Skuli Thorsteinsson Senior Recital
Please join us this Wenesday, June 3rd at 7:00 pm when Skuli Thorsteinsson will present his Senior Recital at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music. Skuli will being playing guitar music from the rock, blues and jazz genres including music by Jeff Beck, Wes Montgomery, Sonny Rollins, Stevie Wonder, Freddy King, John Coltrane. Skuli has played the violin from a very young age, and currently studies guitar with Matt Schroeder and Paul Silbergleit. Skuli will be attending Berklee College of Music next year.
Backing Skuli will be Conservatory faculty Dave Bayles; drums, Jim Paolo; bass and Matt Schroeder; guitar. The recital will be held in the Helen Bader Recital Hall. 1584 N. 2009 Guitar Weekend July 17-19th
Guitarists of all styles and levels! Come enjoy an intensive weekend of exploring the instrument - expand your experience with different styles, while deepening your knowledge in familiar areas. You choose a major and minor course of study from four basic genres: fingerstyle, jazz, classical, and rock/blues. You’ll meet other guitarists, play in groups, attend jam sessions and choose from a variety of special topic workshops. Minimal guitar experience is required.
